History

Created in 1984

Daniel Abelovich and Ciro Polano (Former members of Coopers & Lybrand) placed particular emphasis on the provision of services to small and medium-sized enterprises.

The company has its offices in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.



From 1985 to today

With the incorporation of new partners, the Firm expanded its range of services; Since then and as a result of its excellent management has achieved a substantial improvement in the level and size of its domestic and foreign customers and a quality image recognized in the market. In 1989, after having met the quality standards required for its acceptance, Smith & Williamson International (International Study of Auditors and Consultants based in London) was elected to the Argentine Republic and was responsible for the development of offices Associated in the region. In 1999, Smith & Williamson International merged with Saffery Champness International, consolidating a new Professional Association under the name of SC International. In 2005, Abelovich Polano & Asociados S.R.L. Was registered in the PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board), United States organization that groups and supervises the Accounting Studies of Public Companies that are listed in SEC (Security and Exchange Commission). As of January 2008, Nexia International and SC International, two of the leading international networks of external advisors in accounting, tax and business matters, merged. The new consolidated group is in the world ranking within the top 10 firms of audit and consulting services.

José Daniel Abelovich

Founding Partner of the Study. Public Accountant, graduated at the University of Buenos Aires.

For eight years he worked in the various categories, from assistant to manager, in the Estudio Harteneck, Lopez y Cia., Correspondents of Coopers & Lybrand in our country and abroad.
In the years 1988/89 he was semi senior consultant for the United Nations project - World Bank - Institutional Strengthening Program - Application Body - General Tax Office.
Senior consultant in the project of Decentralization of the Action in the Ambit of the Municipality of the City of Buenos Aires, project ARG 90/005 of P.N.U.D. (United Nations Development Program)
Former Assistant Professor of the "Management Accounting" chair of the School of Administration of the University of Salvador.
Former Assistant Professor of the "Accounting States" chair of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Buenos Aires.
Responsible for the area of audit and training of the Firm and responsible for the delivery of various courses on subjects of their specialty.
He has attended numerous Congresses and Conferences dedicated to professional subjects, is a member of professional associations and trustee of numerous corporations.

Ciro Polano

Founding Partner of the Study. Graduated in Administration, graduated from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa.

For four years he served in various categories of the Harteneck, López y Cía., Coopers & Lybrand Correspondence Department. In charge of the area of Advice to the Average Company of the Study and specialist in agricultural subjects. He has attended numerous Congresses and Conferences dedicated to professional subjects. Legal representative of numerous companies and branches of foreign companies.

Marcelo Fuxman

Founding Partner of the Study. Graduated in Administration, graduated from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa.

For several years he was in charge of the financial management of privately held companies. Former Deputy General Manager of Gas Administration and Finance of the State-State Corporation; Former member of the Operational and Contracting Committees of that company. He participated in the Committee that was in charge of the privatization of the Company. In charge of the area of Administration and Finance and specialist in subjects of Mergers and Acquisitions. Member of professional associations and trustee of numerous corporations. He has attended numerous Congresses and Conferences dedicated to professional subjects.

Roberto Daniel Murmis

Professional associated to the Study. Public Accountant, graduated at the University of Buenos Aires.

He developed his professional training in the tax area of Harteneck, Lopez and Co., correspondents of Coopers & Lybrand. In charge of the Tax area of the Study. Member of the Subcommittees of the Commission of Tax Studies of the Professional Council of Economic Sciences of the Federal Capital. He has attended numerous congresses and conferences of his specialty. He has participated as an exhibitor in numerous seminars and courses of his specialty. Author and national and international exhibitor of works on tax issues. Member of professional associations and trustee of corporations. Teacher of practical works of Theory and Tax Technician II of the University of Buenos Aires. Advisor to the then Secretary of Public Revenue of the Ministry of Economy - National Executive Branch.

Noemí Cohn

Professional Associate of the Study, Public Accountant, graduated from the University of Buenos Aires.

She developed her professional training in the audit area of Harteneck, Lopez y Cia., Correspondents of Coopers & Lybrand in Argentina and in the offices of Los Angeles (United States). Ex-teaching assistant of the chair "Costs" of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Buenos Aires. Former assistant professor of the "Audit" chair of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Buenos Aires. Member of the audit department of the Firm in charge of the care of foreign clients. She has attended numerous training sessions on professional matters, in the accounting, auditing and corporate areas. Member of professional associations and trustee of corporations. National and international exhibitor on accounting and quality control issues in the Audit.
